Black Tea Selection
Black Tea Selection
Choose between Ceylon OP, Masala Chai, Earl Grey or Assam Melody
CEYLON OP:
Hailing from Sri Lanka, this tea is the perfect workhorse and can be used as the base for blending or for drinking on its own. Famed for its robust character, this Ceylon is full bodied with notes of cinnamon and allspice.
This tea contains a high level of caffeine | Steep at 195°F for 5 minutes.
ASSAM Melody:
Bold black tea from the Assam region of India. Assam tea is known for a deep, burgundy-red cup and pungent flavor. Our Assam Melody is perfect for tea drinkers who may be new to the powerful character of Assam. Rich aroma, more sweet starchy than malty, like roasted plantains. Rounded mouthfeel, malty without being overpowering. Slight notes of raisin. Brisk astringency and not extremely pungent. A solid, 'friendly' Assam, from the well-regarded Meleng Estate.
This tea contains a high level of caffeine | Steep at 212° for 3-5 minutes.
Masala Chai:
Masala Chai is a classic Indian spiced tea. Our take is made up of black Assam, cardamom, star anise, cinnamon, clove, ginger and black pepper. Traditionally, this tea is served with milk and sugar. It can also be sipped without for an equally invigorating beverage.
This tea contains a high level of caffeine | Steep at 195°F for 4-6 minutes.
Earl Grey:
Earl grey is a timeless blend and a great addition to any tea offering. We mix our Ceylon black tea with blue cornflowers and a touch of bergamot. While is it typically consumed alone, it can be combined with milk and sugar for a different experience.
This tea contains a high level of caffeine | Steep at 195°F for 5-7 minutes.
