Singer Songwriter Wendy Schettig live at the Broad Street Grind

Singer and Composer, Wendy Schettig returns to the Broad Street Grind on Saturday afternoon, January 20th from 1:00 – 3:00 PM.  Enjoy a late lunch, latte, cup of coffee, hot chocolate tea or cider while listing to the smooth sounds of Wendy’s music.
Wendy says; “Growing up the sounds of Bob Dylan, Ian and Sylvia, Gordon Lightfoot, James Taylor, and Judy Collins were the norm in our household, on a big farm in eastern Pennsylvania. We all learned to play guitar and write songs at an early age because our dad played guitar and was a writer by trade. It wasn’t unusual to hear four, five, six part harmonies wafting from our kitchen window as we cleaned up the dinner dishes.”
As a singer, she has been called a “careful, loving singer.”  As a guitarist, she plays folk, fingerpicking, ragtime and blues styles music.   As a songwriter, most of her songs have a ‘quiet’ Christian theme which express uniquely the unconditional love of God and his open arms welcome to each of us despite where we might find ourselves.  She also write about overcoming the tough things in life through faith, which comes from her own life experiences.  Wendy is also a guitar teacher, and coaches and teaches worship music for those who want to sing and play guitar with their church band.  To learn more about Wendy and hear some of her music, CLICK HERE
